Cuba
Cuba has a look and rhythm like nowhere else. The 1959 revolution and the long US trade embargo left this Caribbean island seemingly paused in time. Streets are filled with vintage American cars, while horses and carts still clatter through the countryside. Our favourite thing was simply wandering the streets, getting lost, and seeing how people live — kids playing football or baseball, neighbours chatting outside instead of staring at screens. Day or night, the country feels incredibly safe. Even though the main sights draw plenty of tourists, it’s easy to drift a few blocks away and find the real Cuba — raw, colourful, and magical. From world-class beaches to faded colonial cities and lush green valleys, there’s so much to experience. We’ll definitely return someday… and stock up on far more Cuban cigars!
