Travel

I think travelling is one of the best ways to broaden one’s perspective. People are shaped by their culture, environment, and beliefs, each having their own idea of what’s “normal.” But normal can mean very different things across countries and traditions. For me, travelling has always been about discovering other people’s “normal.” Eating fried tarantulas in Cambodia because they’re a local delicacy, or visiting a Hindu temple full of rats that are treated as sacred and even fed by worshippers. What may seem strange to us Europeans is simply everyday life elsewhere – and they might find our customs just as odd 🙂 I also love history and nature, so my travels often include exploring historical sites, hiking through mountains, and visiting natural wonders. I enjoy the freedom of going off the beaten path, travelling light – with cameras packed first, and whatever space is left for clothes! Travelling is something I’ve always loved and will never grow tired of.
