It was warm and sunny day - very unusual for November in the UK. Rhian & Anthony chose stunning 18th century Shustoke Barn as their wedding venue. A beautifully restored red brick-barn with lots of natural light & bags of character. Courtyard filled with olive trees is another interesting feature of this place. Rhian was getting ready at The Granary at Dove House Farm nearby. When I arrived in the morning, atmosphere was very relaxed - Rhian did not seemed stressed at all and just wanted to enjoy her big day. When I arrived at Shustoke Barn, I was surprised how calm and peaceful it was inside. It must be the height of the ceilings as well as quality of light flowing through large doors and windows that makes it so unique. After ceremony - newlyweds decided to go for a ride in their vintage car - to have a bit of time for themselves. After their return and just before speeches started, we went for short walk just outside the venue to use that magic November light for some relaxed portraits. After sunset temperature dropped very quickly - so fire pits were lit at the courtyard for guests to warm up, which added to the atmosphere of this fabulous wedding, that was so fun to shoot. I hope to return to Shustoke Barn again in the future.

Sara & Russell chose Hotel Cortijo Bravo near Malaga for their big day. A stunning 19th century Andalusian cottage converted into boutique hotel, set on the top of hill with fabulous views of Spanish countryside. It’s very peaceful & stylish place, just 10 minutes drive from historic town of Velez-Malaga.
Sara & Russell both stayed at the hotel, where they got ready surrounded by family and friends. Ceremony took place outside at the courtyard. It was a hot summer day - temperature was nearly 38 degrees so guests were having small white brollies to shield from sun as well as handheld fans to cool down. After Sara & Russell exchanged their lovely personalised wedding vows, whole wedding party moved a bit further from the hotel for their wedding reception. There was always something going on, always something to photograph. A cool addition was a flamenco band with dancer, entertaining guests as soon as speeches finished. After their first dance, a drummer came to entertain guests, playing some cool middle eastern tones. It was really energetic time on the dance floor! Russell and his friends Jack & Owen are all DJ’s so they took care of the music afterwards:) It was a fabulous party and fabulous day!

Jennifer & Thibaut are true adventurers. Last 2 year before their big day they were technically homeless - as they were traveling around the world:) Then they decided to get married in Tuscany, place they have never been to. The whole wedding was organised within 3 months, over the internet from Canada, without even visiting wedding venue or Italy during planning process! Out of 100 guests - 1 was Italian, rest of them flew from around the world as far as New Zealand and Australia. Jen & Thibaut did fantastic job organising their wedding. They got married at stunning Villa Pitiana that dates back to 14th century and offer magnificent views of Tuscan countryside. Very stylish and charming place indeed. As they were both getting ready at the villa, I captured both morning preparations. Ceremony took place outside on the lawn, with fabulous views of surrounding area. It was super relaxed day, with everyone having great time. After first dance was over, lots of guest joined the dance floor and I never saw it empty until midnight!

Louise & Chris chose Walcot Hall for their big day. An elegant Georgian country house with stunning views of Shropshire hills. Its very peaceful place that smells history. Interesting thing about the hall is that owners still live there, so before wedding lots of their possessions are moved out of the way to clear space for guests. Louise wished to have ceremony outside, near by the hall surrounded by nature. There was one problem though - a tropical storm affecting whole UK with gale force winds and heavy rain, forecasted to hit Shropshire on her wedding day! After rainy morning, weather miraculously cleared up and we had some glorious sunshine in the afternoon! It was too late to move ceremony outside, so it was held at free standing turquoise ballroom, with steel drum band playing before - a superb back up plan:) It was wedding with lots of character and great vibes. A mixture of English & Caribbean traditions. There was always something to photograph with 44 kids running around, who took advantage of huge outside space as well as trampoline:) Louise & Chris are very friendly & relaxed couple & I greatly enjoyed photographing their wedding day at Walcot Hall.

Jordan and Violaine got married at The Crow’s Nest at The Waterfront, Barton Marina. It’s venue with lots of character, embracing the style of Victorian warehouse by the canal, with lovely views over marina. Violaine got ready near by the venue with her bridesmaids and family. It was hectic morning and a we were a little bit late but thats part of wedding day. Ceremony can’t start without bride, so there is nothing to worry about:) Even though Jordan & Violaine were mainly interested in storytelling photos, they also wanted some natural portraits so after ceremony we went for a short walk to near by woodland area. There was some stunning light to play with! As Violaine and her family were French, speeches were in 2 languages so they took a bit longer than normal but they were incredibly touching and it was lovely to see & photograph how strong their family bond was. It was super relaxed wedding, with great vibes and lovely atmosphere.

Vicki & Simon got married at Washingborough Hall Hotel. A Grade II listed, Georgian manor house in Lincolnshire. This elegant and classy venue worked perfectly for their relaxed and intimate wedding with around 50 guests. Vicki was getting ready at the hotel with the room overlooking its front, so she caught a glimpse of Simon arriving in his vintage car. My favourite part was capturing connection between Vicky and her daughter as she was helping her dress up and putting on her first make up. Shooting against November sun certainly added atmosphere to photos. I also spent some time downstairs, where Simon was welcoming wedding guests, while kids were running around tirelessly. Vicki and Simon both valued documentary photography and wanted to spend as much time as possible with their guests, so we only did few relaxed portraits as the sun was setting down. It was a great day full of laughter and happiness. Kids seemed to be getting tired towards evening - when they discovered sweet stand and quickly went back to full speed again:)
