A calm, unobtrusive approach — No Awkward Posing
Documentary wedding photography (also known as reportage) is simply about telling the story of your day as it happens. I don’t interrupt moments or ask you to repeat anything for the camera – instead, I stay in the background, quietly observing and capturing real interactions as they unfold. Most couples I work with tell me they’re not comfortable posing, and that’s completely fine. My approach is calm and unobtrusive, focused on genuine moments and natural images that capture the mood and story of your wedding day. When we do take a few portraits, I’ll give gentle, easy direction so it feels relaxed and effortless – no stiff poses, no forced smiles, just you being yourselves.
