Anna and Oliver, both devoted vegans and animal lovers, chose Lower Damgate Farm in Derbyshire for their wedding – an animal sanctuary that also hosts a small number of weddings and retreats. It was the perfect setting for them, surrounded by rolling hills and rescued animals freely roaming the grounds. They both got ready on-site, joined by family and friends who stayed overnight to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this exclusive-use venue. The ceremony took place outdoors, with breathtaking views of the countryside and the gentle sounds of animals in the background. In the afternoon, Anna and Oliver spent time feeding the llamas — one of the highlights of their day. A light rain shower later gave way to beautiful sunset, followed by a huge rainbow stretching across the sky for nearly twenty minutes. It felt like nature’s own blessing – a truly magical ending to a beautiful and relaxed wedding celebration.
